Designing & Cutting
Step 1. With your pencil, draw a clothing pattern around one of the figures on your pattern sheet.
Step 2. Cut out about 1 cm (1/2 an inch) AROUND YOUR DRAWING.
Step 3. Choose two pieces of paper that work well together. We would recommend that there be 1 plain and one patterned sheet. We recommend cutting two sheets at the same time so that the place where the top and bottom join is even.
Step 4. Line your paper choices up on top of each other and staple your pattern to them. THE STAPLES SHOULD BE ON THE OUTSIDE OF YOUR PATTERN.
Step 5a. Cut out your clothes. Some people prefer the scissors method.
Step 5b. And others prefer to use a craft knife.
Step 6. The end of cutting
Step 7. You now have two sets of clothes (2 tops and 2 bottoms) or perhaps just two dresses. Choose the one you like best and set it aside.
Step 8. Saving your clothes.Take the outfit that you are not going to use. Label its size e.g. S1, on the back of one piece with a pencil . Join the top and bottom together back to back with a small piece of tape rolled into a cylinder. Set this aside or put it into an envelope marked with its size.
